SHOPLIFTING at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday at Wal-Mart, 3800 Deerfield Drive, Janesville. A loss prevention employee reported a woman placed $86 in store merchandise in a cart, then left it in the store's infant section. A man then came in the store, took the cart to the customer service counter, and tried to fraudulently redeem the items for a store gift card. The man also tried to conceal a $17 pair of sunglasses in his coat. He was cited for  shoplifting and released.

THEFT reported at 2:50 p.m. Dec. 8 in the 1400 block of Morningside Drive. A man said he started his car and it made a loud noise. He took the car to a Stoughton mechanic, and the mechanic informed the man his car was loud because someone had cut out and stolen the car's catalytic converter from its exhaust system.

Charged

CASSANDRA A. AIELLO, 37, of 930 Ann St., Genoa City, with failure to report to jail. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on May 16, 2016, Aiello did not appear at the jail to serve a 6-day jail sentence with work release for a second-offense OWI conviction.

JUAN M. ALONZO, 23, of Harvard, Illinois, with party to armed robbery. Village of Sharon police say on Dec. 9, Alonzo used a gun to rob the a gas station.

JEFFREY A. DUGGAN, 29, of Ridott, Illinois, with possession of narcotic drugs, a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Village of East Troy police say on Nov. 29, they found Duggan with Oxycodone and Diazepam.

NATHAN J. FANTETTI, 35, of Franklin, with possession of narcotic drugs and felony bail jumping. Whitewater police say on Dec. 11, Fantetti had a needle that tested positive for the presence of heroin.

AUSTIN R. GRUNEWALD, 18, of N6434 Candlewood Lane, Elkhorn, with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Town of Easy Troy police say on Oct. 29, they found Grunewald and another person near a school with 26.6 grams of marijuana and cash.

KEVIN J. HOGAN, 24, of Pell Lake, with repeater counts of party to substantial battery and disorderly conduct. City of Delavan police say on Nov. 29, struck someone with a gun and his fists.

SHAWN KHAYONI, 20, of 597 Walton Drive, Unit B, Whitewater, with five counts of delivering marijuana and one count of possession with intent to deliver the drug. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say in September, October and November, they conducted controlled buys of marijuana from Khayoni.

ARTURO J. RODRIGUEZ ROMERO JR., 20, address unknown, with battery and disorderly conduct as repeater counts with domestic abuse assessments, which change the misdemeanors to felonies. City of Delavan police say on Nov. 30, he got in an argument with a woman he knows and struck her repeatedly.

JEFFREY G. SOMMERS, 49, of 1121 Rolling Lane, Lake Geneva, with two counts of attempting to flee or elude traffic officer. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on Nov. 7 and 9, Sommers twice accelerated away from a deputy's car when directed to stop.

MARQUES A. STEWART, 30, of Madison, with failure to report to jail. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on Oct. 11, Stewart did not appear for his jail for his 30-day sentence with work release for a second-offense marijuana possession conviction.

JACOB M. TODD, 20, of 158 W. Whitewater St., Whitewater, with two counts of manufacturing/delivering marijuana and possession of marijuana, an illegally obtained prescription and drug paraphernalia. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say in September and November they conducted controlled buys of marijuana brownies from Todd. On Dec. 5, police say they executed a search warrant on Todd's home and found him with Vyvanse, a drug used to treat ADHD.
