Janesville woman arrested on fourth OWI

JANESVILLE—Police arrested a Janesville woman on a fourth intoxicated-driving offense and are holding a Beaver Dam man in custody on felony cocaine possession after a traffic stop on the west side late Saturday.

According to a news release, Stephanie N. Mitchell, 35, is being held at the Rock County Jail on suspicion of fourth-offense operating while intoxicated after Janesville police pulled over her vehicle shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday.

An officer reported seeing Mitchell cross the center line and violate a traffic light at Center Avenue and Riverside Drive. Mitchell failed field sobriety tests, according to the release.

During the incident, police also arrested a passenger in Mitchell's vehicle, Charles L. Stewart, 41, of Beaver Dam for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, according to the release.

Stewart is being held at the Rock County Jail.
